I am a lazy, lazy writer...
Written by Paul Anderson

Becoming, being and staying a writer when lazy too hard? Just be a lazy writer!

I've always wanted to be a writer, and earlier this year I decided that dammit, that's what I'm going to do.

Sort of.

Whenever anyone asks "so what do you do?" I'm still at the foot-shuffling, gaze avoiding, mumbling anything excpet "I'm a writer" stage (apart from a couple of weeks ago when I was at a conference, oddly enough - but that led on to the equally difficult "what do you write?" questions...)

But I do write.  I have a writing blog, I'm a member of two (three including TextualEcstasy) writing communities.  I'm taking part in NaNoWriMo this year.  I contribute (sporadically) to the Creative Writing section on Gumtree, and I take part in a regular writing prompt.

And despite all this, I do very little writing.  I haven't contributed to thisisby.us other than comments.  This is my first piece for Textual Ecstasy, and it's not fiction!  I haven't put anything on to Gumtree in an age, and what I do put there is usually just a copy and paste from my writing blog.  Hell, I know for a fact that my posts here and on thisisby.us will be cut and paste jobs from my blogs.

And come November I expect I'll be too busy writing my NaNoWriMo piece to even check any other sites.

So, lazy.  Where does everyone find the time to write, work and have a life!
