"NO SOUP FOR YOU!!!" London Councils want to starve poor

Against the London Councils attempt to ban food giving.

 

After reading about the attempts of London Councils to ban soup runs and basically ANY provision of free food to the homeless and poor of London here I had to shoot of an ever so slightly sarcastic email to the venerable Oliver Hatch - could have been better, but really, don't have time to waste on emails which 99% won't be replied to.

Hi - so I hear your going to fine homelessness charities £2500 for giving food to the homeless, or even individuals. That's really great of you, such action to help the poorest in society must really make you sleep well at night. You are really earning your expense account and thousands of pounds a week!

End this madness, or the people are sure to end your reign of maladministration, we don't employ or elect you to act with such callous disregard to peoples basic needs. You should be helping people trying to tackle the massive problem of London Homelessness - not fining them!

Basically - this new ordinance makes me sick - and I must know three things:

1. Who thought of or proposed this in the first instance?

2. Who is lobbying or pushing for this stupidity to be adopted?

3. If homeless and starving people are such a nuisance - why don't you just cut the crap and kill them? No more problem then eh? Let's call it financial euthanasia yeah?

You see, the thing is - in the 'consultation document ' we are not even told what the 'nuisance' is, that feeding the poor and homeless of the Great City of London causes! If the site of homeless people being fed is so ugly to our'elected' representative - let them gouge their own eyes out - rather then fining charities that are already strapped for cash! If business owners don't like having soup kitchens or distribution of food in their vicinity - tough poo poo! Same for residents of areas where this imaginary 'homeless feeding frenzy' takes place - those whom have the luck to live in the centre of London should take the rough with the smooth, and maybe, just maybe - do something to help end homelessness rather then taking such pride in beating up the most vulnerable in society.

Last but not least - I WILL GIVE FOOD TO WHOMEVER I DAMN WELL PLEASE!!!  I'm a free citizen of the world - not a private subject of her Majesty's rotton government and corporate subsidiaries. It is a complete disgraceful infringement of human liberty to fine people for sharing food - and there's no other way to say this - any government or council that would even think of such a STUPID law is EVIL. There are no other words for it.

Vote them out.
