Here's an interesting site: PledgeBank.com is a site based in the UK, where people pledge to do, well *anything* if any *amount* of people agree to join in.

Kind of like Truth and dare on a massive scale. Without the truth, obviously. Resisting the urge to post a pledge to "pull my knickers down in front of the queen at the earliest possible opportunity, if 12 people will pledge the same" I stumbled across a pledge to boycott whichever company wins the National ID card contract.

The National ID card is of course, something not scheduled to come into mass effect for a while, but looking at the legislation itself, the propensity for government use, abuse and proliferation of our innermost identities is plain for anyone to see.

For those whom fancy doing a bit of pledging, against ID cards, or otherwise, have a Clickie Here.

This thread discusses the Content article: I Pledge to Love this Website...

Excellent, the link has appeared!

I've signed up to Pledgebank to vote for nay party that opposes the introduction of ID Cards. Which kind of makes me worry about what party I might be voting for next general election...

I'll have to sign up to boycott the companies too.

One thing I do know, I will not carry an ID Card, I will not register for an ID Card, I will not pay any fine for failure to do so. If they can find a jail cell for me, they'll just have to send me there.
