thanks for the comment. Not wanting to spoil it, these men have done something terrible to someone (what you have to figure out/fill in yourself)... and I got hooked on the idea that anyone can forget about something bad they've done in your past, as long as there are no reminders of it.

But, if they're faced with a person who shared that moment with, it would bring that ‘bad’ thing to life again – make it real again. So the character who has shrugged off this thing is suddenly faced with the morality of it again, faced with reliving it. What would he do to make that reminder go away...?
